Our baby is 16 (almost 17) and is sure looking grown up! Here she is with her prom date just before they left for the evening. Isn't she beautiful?? We think so! (Click on the photos to see a bigger version.) We are so thankful to everyone who helped Tosha get ready for her big evening. It was worth it and she had a fun and memorable evening.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! These are pictures taken when the Kellys came to visit in February. We had a blast with them. We don't see the Kellys very often, so it's fun to get together with them whenever there's a chance. It's actually less expensive to have them come here than have the Nordgrens and the Moons fly there.

The big day that James Moon was sealed to his family at the Provo temple. February 23, 2008. It was a big event with what seemed like hundreds of friends and family from all sides of the family and included James' birth mom and family. A sweet experience!

A Kiss Good-Bye!! Here are BJ's mailing addresses in the Mission

Here are the two addresses that you can use to write to BJ while he's in Uruguay:

(This first one goes to his mission home and they will forward it to him. It's a little less secure, but he should get most of the letter that are sent. This one is also quicker. It probably takes 4-7 days)

The postage to go directly to Uruguay is around 90 cents. You may wish to go to the Post Office to find out for sure. Or you can use the Church SLC "pouch" system. They require you write a letter on one side of a standard sheet of paper and then tri-fold it (so it's about the size of an envelope), and then address the outside (or the side you didn't write on). Tape the one side and put a stamp in the upper right-hand corner (like an envelope). The pouch system address is:

The pouch system is the most secure but it takes almost an extra week to get to him. It only requires a regular U.S. first-class postage stamp.

BJ in the MTC

BJ is about to leave the MTC (in 8 or 9 days). He finally sent us some pictures for us to share with YOU! Some of these are on Christmas, some are random shots since he has been in the MTC. We know that his companion is the one eating a donut with him. It is kind of difficult to pick out BJ in the group pictures, but he's there if you enlarge the picture. It's kind of different to see BJ as a missionary. By the time I get used to it, he'll be home.

Alexis, Megan, and Bryson Come to Visit!!

Alexis, Megan, and Bryson came to visit us early in December from Kentucky. Jessie threw a birthday party for Kylie (Dec 5) and Bryson (Dec 17) and invited lots of people with tons of goodies, decorations, and gifts. It was fun having Alexis and her kids visit us. We don't see them very often. We had everyone together with us for a few days except Josh and BJ (and Steve had to fly out early).

BJ's Farewell went Well!

Here are a bunch of pictures taken after our Sacrament meeting, where BJ gave a great talk on "Gratitude." We had somewhere between 85-90 people come over to our house. It was a lot of fun to see so many of our family and friends. Thanks to everyone who came and who helped make this a special day for BJ. THANK YOU!

If you weren't able to be there, you missed a good one and we missed you! Maybe you can make it to his homecoming in a couple of years.

BJ Goes to MTC & becomes "ELDER" Nordgren

Today, our son BJ went to the MTC to begin his missionary service. It's hard to believe that we won't see him for 2 years. An emotional day. We're happy for BJ. We hope everyone will pray for him.

BJ is going to Uruguay Monte Video West and leaves November 14 to the MTC. His Farewell talk is Sunday, November 11 at 2:40 PM.

We have all the mixed emotions of excited and sad. We're excited that BJ will be serving a mission, but we're sad that he'll be away from us. It'll go fast (we hope).
